How to use it
- Type a time in any format.
- Read the military time and the standard AM/PM time.
- Use the chart for quick lookups.
The formula
Afternoon (1:00 PM to 11:59 PM): add 12 to the hour. 3:15 PM → 1515
Midnight hour: 12:xx AM → 00xx. 12:30 AM → 0030
Military to standard: if the hour is 13 or more, subtract 12 and add PM
Example: 1845 → 18 − 12 = 6, so 6:45 PM. 0700 is 7:00 AM. 0000 is midnight; 1200 is noon.
